These Terms of Service govern your use of Maren, operated by The Zelaya Group, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a California limited liability company. By creating an account and using Maren, you agree to these terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Maren. Users between 13 and 17 must have parental or guardian consent. By using the app you represent that you meet these requirements. We do not knowingly permit accounts for children under 13.
You sign in to Maren using a magic link sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure. Your account may be used on up to five devices at a time. You may manage your active devices in Settings. Sharing your account with others is not permitted.
Maren is offered as a paid app. Payment is processed through our payment provider. All purchases are final. Refunds may be requested within 7 days of purchase by contacting [email protected]. We reserve the right to deny refund requests made after 7 days.
Maren is intended for personal wellness and reflective use. You agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, copy, resell, or redistribute any part of the app or its content. You may not use Maren for any unlawful purpose.
Maren is a wellness app, not a medical or mental health service. The content in Maren, including affirmations, insights, and wellness prompts, is not a substitute for professional mental health treatment, therapy, or medical advice. If you are experiencing a crisis, please call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7) or contact a qualified professional immediately.
The trusted contact you add in Settings is stored on your device only. Maren does not store, transmit, or have access to your trusted contact's information. Any messages sent to your trusted contact are initiated by you through your own messaging or email app. Maren does not send communications on your behalf.
All app design, software, quote curation, insight text, and original content in Maren is the property of The Zelaya Group, LLC. Quotes attributed to third parties remain the property of their respective authors and are used for personal, non-commercial inspirational purposes under fair use principles.
You may delete your account at any time in Settings under Account. Deletion permanently removes your account and all associated data from our servers. This action cannot be undone. You may also request deletion by contacting [email protected].
Maren is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or specific outcomes from use of the app.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Zelaya Group, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Maren.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Riverside County, California.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Maren after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes through the app.

The Zelaya Group, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information Maren collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Maren is available to users in the United States.
When you create an account and use Maren, we collect the following:
We use the information we collect to operate and improve Maren, personalize your experience, understand how the app is used across different user groups, and develop the organization wellness platform. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising. Your email address is used only for account authentication and critical service communications.
Age range and gender identity are entirely optional. Providing them helps us understand who Maren serves and improves our ability to develop relevant content. This data is stored at the account level and analyzed only in aggregate. It is never linked to your individual identity in any reporting or shared with third parties.
If your organization uses Maren, your organization administrators can only see aggregated, anonymized data about overall engagement trends. No individual user data, mood scores, or personal information is ever visible to organization administrators. This protection is enforced at the database level, not just by policy.
Your account and usage data is stored on Supabase servers located in the United States. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections and row-level security policies that prevent any user from accessing another user's data.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. You may request deletion of your data at any time by deleting your account in Settings or by contacting [email protected].
Maren is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly delete the account and associated data.
You may update or delete your account at any time in Settings. You may choose not to provide optional demographic information. You may disable mood check-ins and notifications in Settings. To request a copy of your data or deletion by email, contact [email protected].
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use of Maren after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
